- 4-6 apples, cored (but leave the very bottom intact so the filling doesn’t fall out)
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 10 Tbsp “filling” – nuts, seeds, raisins, nut butter, cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- Pour water into the bottom of the 8×8 baking dish.
- Place apples in the dish standing up.
- Fill the core with about 2 TBSP of filling (amount will depend on the size of the apple).
- Drizzle maple syrup over the apples.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes, under the apples are tender but not mushy.
- Serve topped with the liquids from the pan!
- Serve warm or cold.
