• 2 ½ lbs spareribs cut in 2 inch pieces
  • ¾ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves of garlic
  • ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  1. In large saucepan, cover spareribs with water and bring to a boil until meat is cooked.
  2. Drain ribs through a strainer and run under hot water to remove fat.  (This is very important).
  3. Brown ribs in frying pan, turning to brown both sides.
  4. Place browned ribs in a large baking dish.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients, pour over ribs.
  6. Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes.
  7. The last 10 minutes put a little cornstarch in a bit of water in a cup and pour in the dish.
  8. You can baste  during the cooking process.
