- 2 ½ lbs spareribs cut in 2 inch pieces
- ¾ cup honey or maple syrup
- ¾ cup water
- ½ tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves of garlic
- ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2 tbsp oil
- In large saucepan, cover spareribs with water and bring to a boil until meat is cooked.
- Drain ribs through a strainer and run under hot water to remove fat. (This is very important).
- Brown ribs in frying pan, turning to brown both sides.
- Place browned ribs in a large baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients, pour over ribs.
- Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes.
- The last 10 minutes put a little cornstarch in a bit of water in a cup and pour in the dish.
- You can baste during the cooking process.
