• 2 Vidalia onions (any other sweet onion)
  • 4 – 6 fish steaks (salmon, halibut, tuna, shark, swordfish)
  • 2 Portobello mushrooms, sliced or 1 package of slices or regular mushrooms
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 bunch fresh dill
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges to garnish
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place a layer of onion slices on the bottom of a covered casserole dish. Dish should be large enough to hold the fish steak in one or two layers.
  3. Place the fish steaks on the onions, arrange the mushrooms and remaining onion slices on top. If you are layering the fish, place mushrooms and onions between the layers and the remainder on top.
  4. Lay the dill sprigs on top and squeeze the lemon juice over the entire casserole.
  5. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, or until fish is cooked in the middle.
  6. Garnish with lemon wedges and pepper.Serves 4-6
